Bee Blocks Ready to Mail!

Happy Sunday again! Five more Bee Blocks are ready to mail! They will go out next week. It feels good to begin to get caught up again! The first three blocks are for Design Camp 2 on Flickr. The Bee has now ended and I must say that I really will miss this one. Improv Quilting is my favorite form of Modern Quilting and Design Camp 2 really focused on that technique. The first block is for Jody who requested a free pieced block. She supplied the fabrics and they were so fun to work with!
The next two blocks are for Shelley from the same Bee. This techniques was really fun to do. Randomly pieced strips of fabric were sewn together, then cut into 1 1/4" strips. The strips were then inserted kind of wonkily into the solid fabrics and look fabulous! Hopefully she will love the blocks.

The final two blocks are for paper pieced strip blocks for Melissa of the Bee White Black Bee on Flickr. Melissa mailed everyone their strips, so the two blocks went together very quickly!

Well, I am off to do some cleaning and more sewing! Be sure to scroll down and enter my Bloggy Giveaway for a chance to win some out of print fabric from Tula Pink's Nest! Have a Happy Sunday and Happy Quilting!

I love black and white and aqua together! I've been making string blocks for one of my bees too, I added white to one of the corners of each square, so that there would be a white center as well as the white stripe. It is one of my favorite blocks. simple, but beautiful. I use phone book pages for foundation on this one, it rips out so easy!
